My name is Elias. I’m a Belgian photographer who focusses on animals. I acquired a taste for photography on my very first trip to Africa in 2019, where I was blown away by the beauty of nature. I suppose Kenya and Tanzania could be seen as the cradle of my camera addiction. Ever since then, I've been studying and learning about photography, both aesthetically and technically, as well as post-processing.
With my work, I try to translate my love for animals into the images I capture. The most essential aspect for me is that, with my photos, I can show how I look at these animals. Each animal is unique, and nature has managed to provide each species with important characteristics in order to survive. Moreover, I am convinced that each individual animal has its own character which makes it worth capturing in photographs.
If I can pass on this perspective to you when viewing my photos, even just a little bit, then I have achieved my purpose.
